Suzanne Shaw's stepmother has hit back at the singer's claims she unjustly inherited all her late dad's money.

The Hear'Say and Emmerdale star made her remarks on TV today, saying that on his death all of her dad's properties had passed to his then partner Irene - when she comprehended they would be split similarly.

Irene said: 'I want to begin by saying I'm so surprised and upset by these comments made by my stepdaughter Suzanne'

Supernanny Jo Frost took to Instagram to offer her views on the conversation between the pair. She said: 'Wow ... what an unfortunate set of responses from both women, and may I include typical, one sensation undervalued due to the fact that of cash and one afraid it will produce divide.

'Families you need to have conversations now and make decisions based upon what is morally ideal and raise your kids with no expectation of your wealth. None people are entitled to another person's handbag. Have the discussions.'

Suzanne has formerly spoken of the pain of her dad's death, stating: 'What was hardest was experiencing his rapid wear and tear. It was a really difficult time for the household.'

In March 2012, Vincent was identified with a grade four glioblastoma tumour following blood tests and an MRI scan. Courses of radiotherapy and chemotherapy failed to shrink the development and the family got the disastrous news that Vincent's condition was terminal and he had between 12 and 18 months to live.

Suzanne included: 'The specialists tell you how severe the scenario is but you do not truly believe them until you see it and I always believed that, "My father's invincible, there will be a miracle around the corner. He'll be fine. They'll get rid of the tumour'"'
